FAGE

La FAGE represents the independent student association movement. Through la FAGE, students’ associations receive national and institutional recognition and a fantastic tool to be heard and better organized on a day to day basis.

Access to effective citizenship for students is a major concern for all associations in La FAGE. The associative commitment carries civic and humanist values. The associations are meeting places that only work with solidarity and tolerance. La FAGE fights against all forms of discrimination and exclusion and does not hesitate to get involved and speak up when democracy is in danger.

La FAGE also created prevention, solidarity and citizenship campaigns. These projects are an opportunity for associations to be known by other associations of their city, to attract new volunteers and to encourage civic involvement of students on social issues.

Thus, la FAGE makes specific tools available for associations to assist them in carrying out their projects (publications, training, animation packages…) and offers associations to meet with other actors involved in prevention and solidarity within its inter-association meetings.

As a representative organization according to French law, la FAGE seat in the main instances regarding youth and education. These instances cover subject such as student welfare, academic issues, integration in the labor market, international relations, prevention, etc.

La FAGE organize training sessions for association leaders on various aspects of association management, current issues of students, and legal assistance.

La FAGE also has training materials on the association and student world to meet the everyday needs of associations. The animation of the network also involves the organization of events such as Assoliades or the national Congress.

The values of la FAGE refer to the Charter of Student Associations, which recognizes “students as citizens and actors of their campus and society in which they live. They naturally want to get involved and realize their ideas and projects, thus the students create, manage and direct student associations, on a voluntary basis, in accordance with the civic humanist and democratic values. “

La FAGE believe that its role and participation in such an even falls directly in its field of competence and believe that employability is an important topic, especially today, when the labour market faces one of its upmost challenging time. La FAGE higly values employability and will dedicate its efforts in the success of this event.
